I first visited Mr Vedi with considerable pain in my groins and he very quickly diagnosed I had severe arthritis in both hips.

I tried physio and had two injections but to no avail. Finally I gave in and opted for a hip replacement. Sadly, within 9 weeks I had to have the second one replaced too but thankfully with such care from Mr Vedi, with excellent results. I am now free from pain.

Mr Vedi is a kind, gentle, professional man who puts you at your ease when discussing your problems. He is brilliant at his job which is proven by his success rates, and when it comes to aftercare he gives you time and is interested in you as a person.

I, without hesitation would recommend him both as a person and as an orthopaedic surgeon.

Both hips are now really good, pain-free, and checks over this past year have shown how well they are doing. I am 76 years old (going on 69!) and walk a mile or so nearly every day. On three days a week, I am able to spend the afternoons on my feet volunteering in the local hospice charity shops. Mr Vedi and his team were marvellous. Thank-you Mr Vedi!

Surgery: Total Hip Replacement

Mr Vedi gave me a THR three years ago. For several years before that I had been suffering increasing pain, so finally I took the plunge. From my first consultation with Mr Vedi I felt confident in him and the outcome of the operation fully justified my first impression. I had no post-op pain at all, and by sticking closely to the rehab exercises I was walking easily without crutches in 3 to 4 weeks and driving again soon after. I have nothing but praise for his skill and efficiency.

I had a hip replacement mid-January. I am, at the end of February, pain free, driving and have even walked over 4 miles unaided. Thank you for your skill and the wonderful nursing at Bishops Wood Hospital.
