Rosalind suffered with gluteal tendinopathy and bursitis for many years.
Rosalind, age 55 from Basildon, had a Total Hip Replacement in 2017 but six months later she was in terrible pain. She went back to see the same specialist who said her hip was fine and asked his orthopaedic colleagues who all said they could not help. Rosalind was terribly upset thinking she would have to live with this pain forever. Her inflammatory arthritis restricted Rosalind going shopping, go up and down the stairs and she could not sleep at night.
She decided to do something about it. The consultant had mentioned she had inflammation of the maximus and minimus muscles, so she googled this term and found Mr Vedi number one on the search results – so she looked at his website which was full of really positive reviews and patient feedback. So, she decided to contact Mr Vedi’s secretary.
Rosalind had telephone consultations with Mr Vedi during the first Lockdown and again in the summer of 2020 and had an ultrasound which revealed she had right gluteal tendinopathy and bursitis.
She finally was able to see Mr Vedi face-to-face and was offered surgery based on the fact that other treatment had been exhausted. She had surgery at BMI Bishops Wood Hospital in December staying overnight. Rosalind came out of hospital on crutches, but already felt better. Mr Vedi said it could take up to three months to make a good recovery.
Rosalind said: ”My hip pain was a huge problem and now I am confident I will make a good recovery. Four weeks after surgery, my mobility has already improved. I can walk up and down the stairs and I am sleeping well again. Mr Vedi is very polite and pleasant – he makes you feel very much at ease and explains everything clearly. I feel so grateful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Vedi and I would not hesitate to travel to the other side of London to see him for treatment again.
